The HERMES Line has been designed to provide consistent production, aligning with the company’s commitment to performance efficiency, minimizing downtime while ensuring high-quality rolls. “Reliability means consistency. Simply increasing speed doesn’t always lead to greater productivity. Our focus is on optimizing actual running time. Customers appreciate the constant speed, enabling efficient production of higher-quality products” – notes Luca Mazzotti, General Manager. With a speed of 600 m/min, the HERMES line produces premium toilet paper and paper towels, including medical towels, with options for various finishes and diameters ranging from 90 mm to 200 mm. Automated systems enable rapid product changeovers, providing the necessary flexibility and optimal efficiency. All parameters, such as core size, perforations, and roll diameter, can be set via the control panel.
The line features two UF 180 front-loading unwinders, handling rolls up to 2750 mm wide and 1800 mm in diameter, equipped with splice detection and automatic web alignment. The double embossing laminator HERACLE, with optional ZERO-FLEX rubber rollers, ensures consistent patterning across the sheet and enables the conversion of both soft and dense products, enhancing production flexibility. The HERMES rewinder, equipped with a mobile lower roller, ensures uniform and voluminous winding. “This integration allows for the production of soft and consistent rolls – a solution the consumer market demands” – says Del Monte. The Constant Winding System ensures even winding from the first wrap, optimizing roll volume and enhancing product quality. This technology allows for more efficient resource management and ensures winding uniformity, meeting high-end consumers’ expectations for softness and comfort. The line is completed by the IVI Tail Sealer, featuring a mobile blade glue system for even edge sealing and the LA 200M accumulator, with an automatic loading system and a carousel discharge for quick loading of the HESPERIA 4c log saw. The HESPERIA 4c log saw offers maximum precision and speed in roll cutting, enhancing overall efficiency and flexibility.
